The controversial ending of Prison Break is one that is still debated.  The main character dying upset many viewers, while others saw it as justified. Those against the ending say that the love story of Michael and Sara never got it's happily ever after.  They spent all their time together trying to take down the company, and Michael died right after they accomplished their goal.  This is a valid argument since Michael was clearly the best personality on the show.  He always tried to do what was right, while others just tried to survive.

However, they had the choice to walk away from it all but chose to stick to their plan of taking the company down.  After Sara gets arrested again and put in prison, Michael feels that he has to break her out in order to save her and his unborn child.
